About the photograph:
Mahabalipuram, India, 2020. This rock, known as Krishna’s Butterball, rests on a slope in a miraculous balancing act shaped by erosion. I had to photograph it, simply to keep a memory of this enormous piece of rock. Then the visitors stepped into the frame, each one becoming another element falling into place to compose the photograph.
