About the photograph:
This photograph was taken in 2008, on a remote road in the Highlands. A beam of light broke through the clouds while the surrounding hills stayed in shadow, creating an almost cinematic contrast. I pulled over to capture the scene, and that’s when my wife raised her phone, a spontaneous gesture, a small fragment of our journey turned into a photograph.
