Grands Magasins
This project’s title draws its inspiration from two iconic establishments, Galerie Lafayette and Le Printemps, located along Boulevard Haussmann in the heart of Paris. Surrounded by offices, shops, bars and restaurants, these two retail giants attracts tourists and Parisians throughout the year. The diverse tapestry of people inhabiting and traversing the area, lead me on this project.
As the project unfolded, my photographs began to encapsulate a narrative that embodied the quintessential essence of Paris characterized by femininity, charm, sophistication, and fashion. It captures moments spanning from the spring/summer of 2014 to 2016, offering a visual journey that goes beyond the storefronts to unveil the unique spirit and allure of this iconic Parisian locale.
